The "What I Was Made For" Assessment

Discover Your Path to Purpose

Have you ever felt like you’re playing a role that doesn’t quite fit? Or perhaps you feel a deep, wordless pull toward a version of yourself you haven’t met yet?

In psychology, we call these patterns Archetypes. Archetypes are universal patterns of human experience that describe how people relate to growth, meaning, and responsibility at different stages of life. They are maps that help you understand where you are right now, make sense of our inner world, and what tends to come next. Whether you feel like a Seeker looking for a sign or a Torchbearer ready to lead, these patterns exist to show you that your current struggles and strengths aren’t random, they are part of a well-traveled path toward purpose.

Why identify your archetype?

  • It provides clarity: Stop wondering “What’s wrong with me?” and start seeing “Where am I going?”

  • It offers a toolkit: Each archetype comes with its own set of “power-ups” and specific pitfalls to avoid.

  • It’s a bridge: It helps you move from where you are today to the person you were made to be.

You don’t need a degree in psychology to find your way. You just need to be honest about where you’re standing right now.

What This Quiz Measures

Purpose isn’t something you “find” in one moment. It forms over time through five foundations:

  • Self-awareness — knowing what’s true for you

  • Values — knowing what matters

  • Meaning-making — integrating what you’ve lived through

  • Agency — choosing your direction

  • Contribution — letting your life extend beyond yourself

Your results will reflect the stage you’re in right now.

How to Answer

Trust Your Gut: Your first instinct is usually the most honest. Try not to overthink the “perfect” answer.

  • Be Radically Honest: There are no “good” or “bad” scores here. The more honest you are about your current struggles, the more helpful your growth tools will be.

  • Current State, Not Future Self: Answer based on who you are today, not who you hope to be next year.

Feeling Stuck?

If a question feels “heavy,” take a breath. Archetypal work often touches on parts of us we’ve kept hidden. If you find yourself right in the middle (a score of 3), ask yourself: “Which way do I lean when things get difficult?”
